ADA Website Accessibility Tops Cornerstone's Compliance Agenda

The ADA Website Accessibility Compliance issue has vaulted to the top of Cornerstone's agenda due to letters credit unions have received regarding lawsuits for alleged Americans with Disability Act violations. Cornerstone continues to monitor the situation and is considering how the league might engage in litigation, legislation, or other countermeasures to stem the tide of these frivolous lawsuits. In the meantime, credit unions must step up their efforts to protect themselves.

Survey: Data Theft Surpasses Dubious Milestone

For the first time on record, data theft has surpassed the stealing of physical assets, according to Kroll’s annual global fraud and risk survey. The survey found that roughly 30 percent of businesses reported they had suffered information theft, loss, or attack in 2017. Also, around 40 percent of executives reported their companies suffered a virus or worm attack.
