By all accounts, this year’s Cornerstone Foundation BASH and CU Swing Golf Tournament were a success. Both events provided fantastic networking opportunities and fun while raising substantial funds for vital Foundation initiatives that benefit credit unions.
Held on April 4 at the Loews Hotel, the Foundation BASH embraced the exciting theme of the Kansas City Derby. The evening was a sell-out, with 363 tickets sold representing 79 credit unions. Guests enjoyed drinks, dinner, and derby-themed entertainment, all in the spirit of supporting the Cornerstone Foundation. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our guests, we raised approximately $70,000.
Just days earlier, on April 2, CU Swing took place at The Bluffs at The National Golf Club in Parkville, Mo. The golf tournament drew 107 golfers together for a day on the greens to support their credit union community. This year, the event raised over $71,000.
BASH and Swing events foster community and camaraderie among credit union members and staff in addition to driving forward initiatives that the Cornerstone Foundation champions. The funds will support the Foundation’s three initiatives: credit union development, financial wellness, and disaster relief.
Your continued support and participation allow us to make a meaningful impact. We look forward to seeing even more of our credit union family at next year’s events, where we will continue to build on these successes. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
