Young Professional of the Year Award

The purpose of the Cornerstone League’s Young Professional of the Year award is to recognize individuals at least 18 years of age and no more than 40 years of age who have demonstrated leadership and a passion for making a difference in the credit union movement and who have engaged in the credit union movement as a young professional at a credit union.

Award recipients are honored at the Young Professionals Conference.

Eligibility

The Young Professional of the Year nominee must be:

  • A credit union employee or volunteer at a Cornerstone League member credit union between the ages of 18 and 40.
  • Be a part of the YP Community at the time of nomination
  • Any Cornerstone member credit union or chapter may nominate individuals for this award.
  • Nomination may be made without regard to credit union or chapter boundaries.

Nomination Procedures

Beginning in Oct. 2025, the Young Professional of the Year is no longer a two-step process. It is now following the same procedure as the Hall of Fame, Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Small CU Achiever’s awards.

Simply complete the nomination form. You may nominate yourself or someone else.

The YP of the Year is not an annual award; rather it is presented based on the proven achievements and worthiness of candidates.
