Attend North Texas Sister Society meeting on Oct. 21

Posted: Oct 2, 2019 | Author: Cornerstone Credit Union League

Mark your calendar for the upcoming North Texas Sister Society meeting on Oct. 21 in Dallas. During the meeting, Amy Downs, president/CEO, Allegiance Credit Union, will discuss, “This is Your Time.”

Amy DownsDowns was buried under 10 feet of rubble in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing, but she was also greatly impaired by obesity and apathy. When granted a second chance, she vowed to live life to the fullest. She recovered from her bombing wounds, learned to walk again, dropped 200 pounds, went back to school, attained bachelor's and master's degrees, and now serves as the CEO of the same organization that she was once buried under.

You’ll hear firsthand how the battle against slipping back into your old habits is a struggle for life; how you can overcome it; and how a little motivation will keep you fighting to become the best version of yourself.
