Evergreen CU selects new VP branch administration

Evergreen CU - Richard Folse Evergreen Credit Union in Portland, Maine, has named Richard Folse as its new vice president branch administration, effective Nov. 18. Credit Union Resources conducted the executive search for the $300 million credit union. 

Folse’s credit union expertise and experience in operations is a valuable asset to the executive team at Evergreen CU. His passion for team building and strategic planning will help Evergreen continue to provide exceptional service to its members.

Folse comes to Evergreen from Gesa Credit Union in Richland, Wash., where he served as assistant vice president, area sales and service manager. He was responsible for leading, coaching, and managing up to 10 service center managers and approximately 150 staff members. At Gesa, Folse created and sustained a “winning team” environment by coaching for sales and service excellence.

Folse holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif. Additionally, Folse holds a Master of Theology from Golden Gate Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Houston Baptist University. Folse is a member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and earned the Credit Union Development Education (DE) Program designation from the Nat
onal Credit Union Foundation.
