The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has announced the establishment of four advisory committees: the Consumer Advisory Board, the Community Bank Advisory Council, the Credit Union Advisory Council, and the Academic Research Council. Applications for each committee are being accepted from July 5 through July 24.
These advisory committees are meant to provide the CFPB with information about emerging trends and practices in the consumer financial marketplace and to hear directly from small financial institutions. CFPB invites applications from individuals who can provide insight and advice as the bureau carries out its work.

Only complete application packets received on or before July 24, 2022, will be given consideration for membership on the advisory committees.
