Payments credit union service organization PSCU has appointed Border Federal Credit Union President and CEO Maria J. Martinez to its board. Martinez joined California Coast Credit Union CEO Todd Lane, who was also named to the board.
Martinez has served as the president and CEO of BFCU since 1997. She currently serves on the Credit Union National Association board of directors, representing CUNA’s District 5, Class A credit unions, and is a member of the boards of CUNA Strategic Services and CUNA’s CU Awareness LLC.
Martinez also is a founding member and the chairwoman of the National Association of Latino Credit Unions & Professionals. She is a founding member and vice chairwoman of the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance, and she is a member of the Credit Union Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collective.
Martinez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Our Lady of the Lake University and is a Credit Union Development Educator.
