With the ultimate goal to connect credit unions with each other, Cornerstone League leads and supports various outreach and networking programs. Outreach programs are unique opportunities to connect with the community by improving the quality of life in each neighborhood. Networking programs promote collaboration among credit unions because the entire movement benefits when we share ideas and knowledge.

Education First FCU puts education first with 48K donation
Education First Federal Credit Union recently donated $48,000 to 128 local schools in Southeast Texas. The donations were made by the credit union’s members through its “We’re Paying It Forward” program. -
Alcoa Community FCU offers scholarship to Saline County students
Alcoa Community Federal Credit Union is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one 2021 Saline County high school graduate. -
El Paso area schools receive 40K, thanks to TFCU
The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card Program has donated approximately $40,000 to 38 local high schools in the nine school districts in the El Paso area known as Region 19. The donations will help support high school programs, clubs, teams, and student organizations once schools resume in-person instruction. -
Education CU donates 51K in grants to area schools
Education Credit Union (ECU), based in Amarillo, Texas, recently awarded $51,000 in Pocket Change Grants to area schools, giving up to $500 per teacher to help provide much-needed items for their classrooms. -
United CU supports Foundation and has a little fun
In Tyler, Texas, the staff at United Credit Union is always looking for ways to have fun with their members and find new ideas for giveaways. At the end of the year, the credit union promoted a “Kick 2020 to the Curb” campaign, giving away SWAG bags full of credit union goodies and Cooking with Cornerstone cookbooks.
