The Community Impact Fund
The Community Impact Fund (CIF) is a nonprofit organization that partners with employers, both for-profit and nonprofit, including banks and credit unions, housing providers, and community organizations, to improve financial stability for A.L.I.C.E. individuals—those who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed, many of whom are employed within their own organizations.
CIF delivers Impact Loans, 0% interest, small-dollar personal hardship loans that address real, immediate financial challenges such as emergency expenses, cash-flow gaps, and high-interest debt. CIF operates as a trusted third-party service provider, preserving participant dignity through anonymity while removing administrative burden from partner organizations.
Each Impact Loan is paired with financial education, individualized coaching, and an emergency savings component, making the program a scalable and responsible alternative to payday lending and 401(k) loans.
