August YP Spotlights

The Leaguer regularly features Young Professional Spotlights to help you get to know these up-and-comers. This month, meet Kaetlynn Barre, Krystal Bell-Green, and Candiace Forbus.

Kaetlynn Barre, TruService Community Federal Credit Union 

Kaetlynn Barre, mortgage loan officer at TruService Community Federal Credit Union in Little Rock, has worked in the credit union industry for two years. Her favorite part of the job is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, whether she is helping someone purchase a first home, find more space for a growing family, or downsize for the next chapter of life.

Barre is an avid supporter of the Arkansas Foodbank because of the organization’s direct impact on families throughout the state. She especially appreciates its work providing nearly 3,000 backpack meal kits each week to students who may not have access to food at home over the weekend.

Outside of work, Barre enjoys rewatching “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” and is currently binge-watching “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

Krystal Bell-Green, Clearway Credit Union

Krystal Bell-Green, member service advocate at Clearway Credit Union in Hot Springs, has worked in the credit union industry for about a year and a half. She values the industry’s focus on helping members and treating each person as an individual rather than simply criteria on a piece of paper.

Bell-Green names Valerie Free as her role model because of the support she has provided and the strength she demonstrates for others. Given the opportunity to speak with any public figure, Bell-Green would choose Zendaya, whom she admires for remaining true to herself while building a career in Hollywood.

People may be surprised to learn Bell-Green played trombone for more than 10 years. She is currently reading “Edge of Collapse” by Kyla Stone, binge-watching “Virgin River,” and names Washington, D.C., as her favorite place she has traveled. Her favorite dessert is ice cream.

Candiace Forbus, Clearway Credit Union

Candiace Forbus, loan processor at Clearway Credit Union in Malvern, has worked in the credit union industry for nearly three years. She enjoys meeting members, hearing their stories, and helping make a difference in their lives when they may have thought certain possibilities were out of reach.

Forbus names her mother as her role model, describing her as someone who has overcome obstacles while consistently supporting others. She credits her mother with always encouraging her and standing by her throughout her life. Forbus hopes one day to follow in her footsteps.

If Forbus could have any superpower, she would choose the ability to control time so she could reconnect with people she has lost, ask unanswered questions, and add a little more time to the days that need it. She also enjoys watching Disney’s “Tarzan,” reading “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni, binge-watching “Ride or Die,” and listening to the true crime podcast “Murder in America.” Her favorite dessert is her mother’s homemade cheesecake.
