Today is the 75th anniversary of International Credit Union Day, an opportunity for all credit unions and advocates to unite in support of our shared mission. This year’s theme is Global Connections, emphasizing the importance of unity within the global credit union movement.
Celebrated annually on the third Thursday of October, ICU Day reminds the world of our core values: people helping people, financial inclusion, and community support. It's a time to reflect on the daily impact credit unions can make on millions of people globally in our quest for financial well-being for all.
This morning, the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions marked the 75th annual ICU Day with a Global Connections webinar featuring stories of resilience and courage from Venezuelan migrants, who benefited from the Economic Inclusion Project, and Ukraine's Olga Tugai, president of All-Ukrainian Credit Union Association.

International Credit Union Day
Cornerstone League joins the World Council of Credit Unions to celebrate International Credit Union Day on the third Thursday of October every year. ICU Day celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement. We raise awareness on ICU Day to promote the movement’s achievements, share member experiences, and give members the opportunity to get more engaged.
