Registration is now open for the March 22 event, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m. CT. This Texas GAC is a dues-supported event, free to Cornerstone-member credit unions.

The Cornerstone Annual Meeting is now known as IMPACT Virtual! The Annual Meeting is Cornerstone’s largest conference, offering members valuable insights on industry trends, workshops, resources, and Cornerstone’s strategic vision. This year, Cornerstone’s development team applied the valuable lessons learned in 2020 and developed an impactful solution to deliver a relevant and robust conference for Cornerstone’s members.
Alcoa Community FCU offers scholarship to Saline County students
Alcoa Community Federal Credit Union is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one 2021 Saline County high school graduate.
El Paso area schools receive 40K, thanks to TFCU
The TFCU High School Spirit Debit Card Program has donated approximately $40,000 to 38 local high schools in the nine school districts in the El Paso area known as Region 19. The donations will help support high school programs, clubs, teams, and student organizations once schools resume in-person instruction.
TTCU announces 3.5 million in dividends
Tulsa Teachers Credit Union Federal Credit Union (TTCU) announced that $3.5 million in member rewards dividends were paid out to TTCU members in 2020, an increase of 10.5 percent over the previous year.
Harper named NCUA board chairman

Foundation offers FiCEP at half price
Registration is now open for the Credit Union National Association financial counseling certification program (FiCEP). The Cornerstone Foundation is offering the program at half off their regular cost to help credit unions meet members’ increasing need for reliable financial advice to help them weather the financial hardships brought on by the pandemic.
Caroline Willard delivers state of the union to Dallas Chapter
Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard addressed the Dallas Chapter of Credit Unions on Wednesday, giving a state of the union address. In addition to the League, Willard leads the Foundation and Resources, the League’s service corporation, serving approximately 450 credit unions.

Education Credit Union (ECU), based in Amarillo, Texas, recently awarded $51,000 in Pocket Change Grants to area schools, giving up to $500 per teacher to help provide much-needed items for their classrooms.

SBA approves 60K PPP loan applications during the first week
The U.S. Small Business Administration approved approximately 60,000 Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan applications submitted by nearly 3,000 lenders, for more than $5 billion, between Jan. 11 and Jan. 17.
