The Community Unity team at Texas Trust Credit Union recently joined the “Keep DeSoto Clean” event, a community-driven event comprising Dallas-Fort Worth area residents, leaders, and businesses to work together clean trash from the streets of DeSoto, Texas.

Educators Credit Union (ECU) President/CEO Joe Hutyra retired on April 1, marking 43 years with the Waco, Texas-based credit union.

Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has turned 75, and recently the credit union celebrated at more than 30 of its branches in Oklahoma by treating members to cookies, cupcakes, popcorn and sandwiches.

A large portion of this week’s issue of the Leaguer is dedicated to honoring those who have served the credit union movement with grit and an unfailing dedication to helping people.

Her first position, at the age of 17, was as a check typist. Now almost 42 years later, Cornerstone CFO, CAO/EVP Karen Hart will retire April 9.
