Lena Giakoumopoulos from the World Council of Credit Unions says the work of the Global Women’s Leadership Network is all about empowering people personally and professionally in their credit union communities.

The National Credit Union Foundation’s Herb Wegner Memorial Awards have celebrated the innovators of the credit union movement for over 30 years. Awards will be presented at the Foundation’s annual fundraising gala.

The annual “Go to Bat for CASA” campaign closed May 14 at Blue Bell Park. Aggieland Credit Union, the official credit union of Texas A&M, proudly sponsored the occasion and presented a check for $10,000 to the CASA of Brazos Valley organization, Voices for Children, during the Texas A&M versus Mississippi State baseball game.

Fewer Houstonians will go hungry thanks to the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions 2022 food drive, which resulted in a donation of more than 1,400 pounds of food for the Houston Food Bank.

The Cornerstone Foundation recently awarded 47 Southwest CUNA Management School scholarships totaling $70,066.
