The theme for International Credit Union Day 2022 is "Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union."

Cornerstone League is pleased to recognize and congratulate Monica Galindo, from GECU in El Paso, who has been named a 2022 Credit Union Rock Star by the editorial team of Credit Union Magazine.

True Sky Credit Union is celebrating the cooperative movement on an international scale. President and CEO Sean Cahill said True Sky will host a Caribbean delegation Oct. 16–21 in Oklahoma.

Another Cornerstone League Hike the Hill has been logged into the history books. By all accounts, this year’s event, held Sept. 27–29 in Washington, D.C., was a rousing success.

Cornerstone League’s advocacy arm, Texas Credit Union Association, joined Independent Bankers Association of Texas, Credit Union Coalition of Texas, and Texas Bankers Association in crafting a letter to lawmakers opposing the Credit Card Competition Act of 2022—an act that seeks to create new routing mandates that would affect the way financial institutions issue credit.
