Want to feel more informed and empowered during election season without getting overwhelmed by the noise? Join us for this YP Virtual Meetup as we explore practical ways to engage in the voting process with confidence and clarity.
In this session, we’ll cover how to research candidates in local elections, cut through media noise to better understand the real issues, and explore opportunities to get involved in campaigns if that interests you. We’ll also talk through thoughtful, approachable ways to encourage others to vote without feeling pushy or over the top.
We’ll wrap up with an open Q&A, giving you the chance to ask questions and share perspectives in a supportive, conversation-driven environment.

Speaker:
Mark Seale
A sixth-generation Texan originally from Plano, Mark Seale has been involved in politics and government since 1989. His family has a long history in Texas, having been farmers and ranchers in the Panhandle and South Texas Plains for many generations.
His public service includes experience on staff in the Texas Senate and House, as Deputy Director of a major state agency, as a director on statewide campaigns, and as a redistricting consultant. In the private sector, Mark has worked as a corporate lobbyist and public affairs consultant for a diverse range of clients. He joined the Cornerstone League as Senior Vice President of Advocacy in May of 2025.
Mark and his wife, Laura, live in Austin. Mark is a proud member of the University of Texas Longhorn Alumni Band
