Cornerstone League CEOs received an invitation on Oct. 3 to attend a special member meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for members to vote on the proposed Plan of Merger and proposed amendments to the Cornerstone bylaws.

This week, more than 50 Cornerstone-member credit union leaders and advocates spoke with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra. Discussion topics included auto loans, overdraft protection programs, rulemaking, and ways to engage with the CFPB.

Last week, Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard and her credit union industry companions climbed Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro, the African continent’s highest peak at 19,340 feet above sea level.

The National Credit Union Foundation has announced two new grant opportunities to bolster credit unions’ ability to offer financial coaching and combat hunger. Applications for both grants are now open, and all credit unions are encouraged to apply.
