In this week’s issue of the Leaguer, we cover a wide range of topics from announcing Cornerstone Foundation’s approval of grant funds, availability of dues-supported resources such as our economic report, and recaps from our recent governmental affairs conferences in Oklahoma and Texas.

The Cornerstone Foundation’s Grants Committee has approved $251,603 in grant funds to support credit unions and chapters in their community outreach endeavors, financial capability initiatives, credit union development, and professional staff and volunteer development.

The first virtual Texas Governmental Affairs Conference was held March 22 and featured visiting Texas state representatives, a special roundtable discussion between the Texas Credit Union Department and National Credit Union Administration, a Q&A session, and a legislative update from Cornerstone League leaders.

With legislatures in full swing around the country, it’s that time of year for governmental affairs conferences. To ensure our members are fully informed of developments in the state legislature, the Oklahoma GAC took place virtually March 9.
