A large portion of this week’s issue of the Leaguer is dedicated to honoring those who have served the credit union movement with grit and an unfailing dedication to helping people.

Her first position, at the age of 17, was as a check typist. Now almost 42 years later, Cornerstone CFO, CAO/EVP Karen Hart will retire April 9.

Ayn Talley, retired president and CEO of the Houston Police Federal Credit Union, and Brent Taylor, retired president and CEO of WEOKIE Federal Credit Union, have been honored with this year’s Cornerstone League Hall of Fame Award.

The Cornerstone League has named Jennifer Grinder, chief retail officer of Resource One Credit Union of Dallas, Texas, as 2021 Professional of the Year.

Kay Rankin-Swan, president and CEO of Ward County Credit Union, has been named the winner of the 2021 Cornerstone League Small Credit Union Achiever of the Year Award.
