University Federal Credit Union, Austin’s largest locally owned financial institution, has named Michael Crowl as president, a newly created executive role at the 85-year-old, not-for-profit cooperative with $7.5 billion in assets.

Enjoying warm friendships and cool shaved ice, Dallas-based Neighborhood Credit Union joined with Waxahachie leaders on Aug. 10 to break ground on a new location that will be constructed at 1750 N. Highway 77, just south of Country Meadows Boulevard, in Waxahachie.

Thanks to monetary support from the community and a generous $2,500 match from WEOKIE Federal Credit Union, Sunbeam Family Services will receive $7,051.
