Coast Life CU Brings Financial Education to Young People This Summer

Thu June 11, 2026

Coast Life Credit Union is investing in youth financial education through Financial Fridays, a summer series designed to help young people build practical money skills before major financial decisions begin to take shape.

The program centers on foundational topics such as budgeting, credit, financial goals, and real-world financial decision-making. By creating space for young people to engage with these concepts early, Coast Life is helping make financial education more approachable and more relevant to everyday life.

The series is set across four summer Fridays, with each session tailored to a different age group:

  • June 26: Ages 10-12
  • July 10: Ages 13-15
  • July 17: Ages 16-18
  • July 24: Ages 19-21

This kind of outreach reflects a broader truth about the credit union difference. Credit unions strengthen communities not only through products and services, but also by helping people build confidence and knowledge before financial challenges arise. When young people gain exposure to these ideas early, they are often better prepared to make informed choices later.

Coast Life’s Financial Fridays series is a strong example of how credit unions can create lasting value by meeting community needs in practical, people-focused ways.
