Tuned out. Burned out. Taken out. Those are the three pivotal risks high-potential women face, according to Anita Greenwood, keynote speaker at the Kansas Sister Society event earlier this month in Wichita, Kan.

More than 30 credit union leaders gathered to hear from Anita, CEO of Powerhouse Leader and former Fortune 500 executive. Anita explored workplace challenges from multiple perspectives and discussed strategies for earning a seat at the table. Her decades of leadership experience and coaching insight inspired the group and provided valuable takeways to navigate challenges, advocate strategically, and reignite their leadership impact.

The event was coordinated by several local credit unions. The planning committee included:

  • Nicole El-Chami, CU of America
  • Shannon Lauber, CU of America
  • Lea Ann Gabbert, CU of America
  • Vicki Plank, Meritrust CU
  • Nicki Steward, Heartland CU

Held at Big Brothers Big Sisters, the event also highlighted the impact of Big Brothers and Big Sisters in the community. Several attendees shared their own meaningful experiences as volunteers with the organization.
