New CUNA Executive Committee Chair Lisa Ginter

Ginter is a 30+ year veteran of the financial services industry, having worked with credit unions her entire career. She has served as CEO of CommunityAmerica Credit Union in the greater Kansas City region since 2015, leading the organization through record membership growth.

“It’s an honor to chair CUNA’s board at a time when the credit union movement is looking to build on great momentum, and I look forward to continued work with CUNA, leagues, and credit unions to make good on our commitment to improving financial well-being,” Ginter said. “Our combination of a steadfast focus on our members and determination to advance the communities we serve means credit unions have plenty to work for in the next year and beyond.”

“I extend a hearty congratulations to Lisa, who has been a tireless advocate of credit unions and a leader of the movement in Kansas and Missouri for decades,” said Cornerstone League President/CEO Caroline Willard, now the new vice chair of CUNA. “I have unreserved trust and faith in her leadership of the CUNA Executive Committee.”

Ginter is the 52nd chair and only the sixth woman. She will serve in this role through the 2024 Annual General Meeting. The full CUNA Board Executive Committee for 2023–2024 includes:
