Read time: 1 min, 30 secs

Fraud has risen to many credit union leaders’ top-issues list. You need resources and tools to safeguard your credit union, so Cornerstone League has launched a new Fraud Council, a safe space for credit union staff and volunteers to:

  • Report fraud and receive fraud alerts;
  • Discuss and share information to help prevent fraudulent transactions; and
  • Respond to reports of fraudulent activity to safeguard your organization.

The Fraud Council is FREE for Cornerstone members to join.

Note to Kansas and Missouri credit unions:
The Fraud Council takes the place of the existing Fraud Alerts you may have been receiving. Any alerts pertaining to fraud will be sent through the Fraud Council messaging platform, which you will receive in your inbox. You may adjust your email frequency in the community platform.

Call for Fraud Council executive committee members

Each of Cornerstone’s 11 councils is run by executive committee members who help guide the focus and provide insight to council members and league staff liaisons. Serving on the executive committee can help you build professional connections, position you as a subject matter expert, and provide growth opportunities for credit union staff and volunteers.

This is a great opportunity for individuals at any level, providing a first step for those early in their careers or experienced pros who want to stay involved.
