Houston-based Energy Capital Credit Union has announced that Kanika Boutté has been named chief executive officer. She will succeed Linda Pearsall and assume responsibilities on Jan. 1, 2022.

Ethel Jennings has been with 1st University Credit Union for 25 years, having started in the accounting department in 1996. Last week, Jennings was promoted to executive vice president of accounting and operations.

Congressional policymakers are eyeing unconventional sources of revenue to fund their infrastructure plans. One proposal under consideration would require credit unions and other financial institutions to report to the Internal Revenue Service how much money has gone into and out of accounts holding more than $600.

The Amarillo Area Chapter of Credit Unions held its annual golf tournament July 19 at the Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo and raised more than $48,667 for the Children’s Miracle Network and Credit Unions for Kids.
