League President Chosen to Lead America’s Credit Unions

This week, America’s Credit Unions announced that Scott Simpson has been selected to be America’s Credit Unions’ next leader, starting Nov. 3. Simpson currently serves as president/CEO of the California Credit Union League and Nevada's Credit Unions and CEO of Utah's Credit Unions.

Simpson will succeed current America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

“I couldn’t be more pleased that a League President (LP) has been chosen to lead America’s Credit Unions,” said Caroline Willard, president/CEO of Cornerstone League. “As we saw in the recent ‘Don’t Tax My Credit Union’ campaign, our movement is at its strongest when national and state-level advocacy efforts are tightly integrated—a dynamic Scott fully understands and values.”

Willard added that as a former AACUL chair, Simpson has firsthand experience in how the league system can mobilize effectively.

“Scott is a disciplined, thoughtful, and seasoned leader, and I’m confident he will guide America’s Credit Unions to new heights,” said Willard.
