Cornerstone Foundation Announces Strategic Partnership with Opportunity Knocks
PLANO, TEXAS, April 10, 2026 – The Cornerstone Foundation today announced a strategic partnership with Opportunity Knocks, a nationally broadcast financial transformation series which offers a training platform that leverages storytelling and real-world examples to empower credit union front-line staff to lead high-stakes financial conversations with confidence. Through its training platform, The Opportunity Hub, the partnership will help credit union staff build trust with members during moments of vulnerability and help strengthen retention through empathy and clarity.
Using real member stories as training, The Opportunity Hub features curated scenes from Opportunity Knocks, a nationally distributed television series airing on PBS, giving credit union teams the opportunity to learn from real financial conversations and real-life member challenges. Built to strengthen the credit union difference, the platform helps reinforce the people-first service model that defines credit unions. Each scene includes facilitator guides, discussion prompts, and training personas, making it easy for credit unions to integrate the content into onboarding, financial counseling, and ongoing staff training.
“Conversations that come from a place of knowledge, confidence, and empathy can open doors that change the trajectory of members’ financial futures,” said Courtney Moran, executive director of the Cornerstone Foundation. “Making education such as what Opportunity Knocks provides available to credit union front-line staff will bring the credit union philosophy, ‘people helping people’, to life.”
The partnership makes high-impact learning available without a heavy lift. Designed to complement existing training programs, The Opportunity Hub allows credit unions to introduce meaningful, real-world learning experiences without building new curriculum from scratch. Each scene includes facilitator guides, discussion prompts, and training personas, making it easy for credit unions to integrate the content into onboarding, financial counseling, and ongoing staff training.
“Cornerstone Foundation has long been a leader in advancing financial well-being across the credit union system,” said Jamie Chandler, SVP of program initiatives and strategic partnerships, Opportunity Knocks. “We’re honored to partner with them and expand access to real-world training that helps frontline teams serve their communities with empathy, confidence, and impact.”
