Cornerstone Foundation Partners with Edovo to Provide Educational Resources to Incarcerated Individuals
PLANO, TEXAS — The Cornerstone Foundation is excited to announce its partnership with Edovo Foundation, a provider of digital education materials for incarcerated individuals in jails and prisons across the U.S. to help drive community development and financial inclusion.
In partnership with credit unions, Edovo aims to foster financial knowledge and independence for justice-impacted communities, helping to reduce recidivism, provide financial access, and increase credit union membership. Fifty-three percent of all U.S. jails and prisons utilize Edovo, which provides 35,000 hours of educational content to over 960,000 daily active participants.
“We are thrilled to announce this transformative partnership between the Edovo Foundation and the Cornerstone Foundation,” said Brian Hill, Edovo Foundation CEO. “By combining our expertise in providing incarcerated individuals with access to education and technology with the Cornerstone’s strong network of financial institutions, we are opening the door to critical financial literacy and community development resources for those who need it most.”
Courtney Moran, Cornerstone Foundation executive director, said Edovo’s mission aligns with the Foundation’s support of financial inclusion.
“Cornerstone Foundation is committed to promoting financial wellness across the Cornerstone region,” she said. “Our partnership with Edovo helps expand access to resources to an underserved community, which will positively impact their financial well-being in the long term.”
Hill added, “This collaboration empowers justice-impacted communities to build a solid financial foundation for their futures, giving them the tools they need to succeed. Together, we are helping to break the cycle of poverty and recidivism by providing the knowledge and support necessary to achieve long-term financial stability.”
Cornerstone Foundation will host an informational webinar on Jan. 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. CT. Nick Hammerstad will provide an overview of Edovo’s mission and share ways credit unions can incorporate the platform in their financial wellness programs. To learn more and register.
