Twenty credit union champions were inducted into the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders, including Crystal Long, president/CEO of GECU in El Paso, Texas. Members of the Hall of Leaders are exceptional individuals dedicated to perpetuating the credit union mission and philosophy.
“These leaders exemplify the spirit of the credit union movement, setting the gold standard in member service, strengthening the credit union community, and championing advocacy to protect the not-for-profit, cooperative financial services model,” said Troy Stang, Credit Union House chair and president/CEO of the GoWest Credit Union Association. “We deeply appreciate the lasting impact they have made—and continue to make—on credit unions.”

Amid the buzz on Capitol Hill, a historic moment unfolded on the GAC main stage: the virtual groundbreaking of Credit Union House. During the 23rd Annual Meeting of Members on March 2, an election was held to name directors to the board. Two directors, appointed to their positions last
year, were elected to the Credit Union House board: Samantha Beeler, president of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates, and Caroline Williard, president/CEO of the Cornerstone League.
Three directors were also re-elected to the board. The new board members are:
