Another Cornerstone League Hike the Hill has been logged into the history books. By all accounts, this year’s event, held Sept. 27–29 in Washington, D.C., was a rousing success.

Cornerstone League’s advocacy arm, Texas Credit Union Association, joined Independent Bankers Association of Texas, Credit Union Coalition of Texas, and Texas Bankers Association in crafting a letter to lawmakers opposing the Credit Card Competition Act of 2022—an act that seeks to create new routing mandates that would affect the way financial institutions issue credit.

It’s almost time for credit unions to come together to celebrate International Credit Union Day. This year, ICU Day is on Thursday, Oct. 20, and to help us celebrate, CUNA and WOCCU have created helpful resources.

The nomination period for the 2023 Credit Union House Hall of Leaders award is open now through Dec. 30, 2022.
