Thu September 03, 2026

West Community Credit Union promoted Samantha Semonski to member solutions assistant manager and appointed Jay Lewis chief risk officer.

Semonski, who joined West Community nearly nine years ago, helps lead the Member Solutions team, which works with members navigating financial challenges and identifying solutions that support their financial well-being. In her new role, she will focus on team development and process improvement while helping ensure members receive exceptional service and support.

Lewis will serve as West Community’s senior risk executive, overseeing an enterprise-wide risk management framework supporting the credit union’s safety, soundness, and sustainability. He brings more than 30 years of financial services experience, including leadership roles as vice president of operations, chief financial officer, and, most recently, chief executive officer of Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union.

“Samantha has a genuine passion for helping members navigate challenging financial situations,” said Member Solutions Manager Tamar Gleason. “Her experience, empathy, and problem-solving skills make her a natural fit to help lead our Member Solutions team.”

“Jay’s depth of experience and commitment to ethical leadership make him an excellent addition to our executive team,” said West Community President/CEO Jason Peach. “His expertise in risk management and operations will help ensure we continue protecting our members while supporting the credit union’s long-term success.”
