Credit Unions Invest in Children, Educators, and Communities

Endurance FCU Awards $20,000 Following Charity Golf Tournament

Endurance Federal Credit Union awarded $10,000 each to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Make-A-Wish Oklahoma following its 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.

The May 11 tournament at Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla., brought supporters together to raise funds for organizations serving children and families.

“With this being the 18th year Endurance Federal Credit Union has held the charity golf tournament, I sit back and reflect on the impact we have been able to achieve through the generous donations and support from all those who participated,” said Endurance FCU President/CEO Chris Bower.

Bower said the organizations play vital roles in the well-being of people throughout the community and embody the credit union motto of “people helping people.”

A+ Education Foundation Awards More Than $75,000 to Educators

The A+ Education Foundation, the philanthropic arm of A+ Federal Credit Union, awarded more than $75,000 in grants to 56 Central Texas educators.

Educators will use the funding to expand robotics, journalism, 3D printing, literacy, athletics, dance, student wellness resources, and professional development. Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.57 million to 1,484 recipients.

“Every grant awarded is an investment in possibility,” said A+ Education Foundation President Georgia L. Johnson. “Together, we’re opening doors for students to explore their passions, equipping educators with valuable resources, and strengthening the learning environments where our future leaders grow.”

The grants will help educators transform classroom ideas into hands-on learning opportunities while supporting students’ academic, creative, and emotional development.
