GEFCU Appoints Mark Dunkley President/CEO

Government Employees Federal Credit Union has appointed Mark Dunkley president/CEO, effective Aug. 3. He succeeds Dee Crisp, who is retiring after 12 years in the role.

Dunkley has served as GEFCU’s executive vice president for the past 10 years, contributing to the credit union’s lending, operations, technology, and member experience initiatives.

“We are excited to have Mark as our new president/CEO and lead us into the next phase of immense growth opportunities,” said GEFCU Board Chair Richard Lee.

Dunkley said he plans to build on GEFCU’s foundation of fiscal responsibility and member service while pursuing opportunities for growth throughout Austin and Central Texas.

Raiz FCU Honors Former President/CEO Claudia B. Green

Raiz Federal Credit Union renamed its operations building the Claudia B. Green Operations Center during a July 16 ceremony honoring the former president/CEO’s decades of leadership.

Green helped transform the former El Paso Area Teachers Federal Credit Union from a single branch into a regional institution serving thousands. One of the first Black women in the nation to lead a major financial institution, she also championed financial empowerment, inclusion, and community service.

“Her compassion and people-first approach shaped both Raiz and the El Paso community for generations,” said Raiz President/CEO Max Villaronga.
