Together CU Expands Scholarship Support for Students

Wed June 17, 2026

Together Credit Union recently recognized student achievement through two scholarship efforts that will help support higher education for local students during the 2026-2027 school year.

Through its Vince Jacknewitz Scholarship Program, Together awarded 15 scholarships of $1,500 each to college-bound seniors. The credit union said the long-running program has now awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships since its inception. The program is administered by the Together Foundation and honors the late Vince Jacknewitz, who served on the board of directors of Together Credit Union and later as board chair.

Together also awarded five additional $1,500 scholarships through the Together Foundation Community Scholarship Program, which was launched in 2020 to expand community-based scholarship opportunities in the Greater St. Louis area. Since that program began, Together has awarded 32 scholarships to local students pursuing higher education.

The two programs provided scholarship support to a total of 20 students this year. That kind of investment matters because it reflects a broader credit union value: helping people move forward, not just financially, but in ways that can shape long-term opportunity. By supporting students at an important transition point, Together Credit Union is reinforcing its commitment to education, community, and future financial well-being.
