Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions Hosts School Holiday Parties

The Fort Worth Chapter of Credit Unions celebrated the season by hosting holiday parties at two local Title I schools—Sam Rosen Elementary in Fort Worth and Webb Elementary in Arlington. For more than 34 years, the chapter has supported these campuses, which serve many disadvantaged students, including children from families experiencing homelessness.
The Sam Rosen Elementary celebration took place on Thursday, Dec. 4, followed by the Webb Elementary party on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Both events featured games, prizes, treats, and photos with Santa. Faculty and staff at each school also received a special holiday lunch, and teacher gifts were provided through the chapter’s preferred partner, Brandability.

Building on last year’s successful introduction of inflatable activities, the chapter partnered with Lone Star Santas®, the largest statewide Santa organization in the U.S., to donate 14 bicycles awarded to lucky students at each school.
Local officials attended the Sam Rosen Elementary celebration, including Emerico Perez, district director for State Rep. Ramon Romero (D–TX 90), and Annette Taylor Fields, field representative for Congressman Marc Veasey (D–TX 33). Both expressed appreciation for the support credit unions continue to provide to families in their districts.
