Southland FCU Earns ‘Best of Lufkin’ Honor

Southland Federal Credit Union has won “Best of Lufkin” honors for the second time in two years. The credit union has remained at the top of the list for many years, coming in previously as runner up. Winners were announced in the Lufkin Daily Newspaper.

For the “Best of Lufkin,” businesses are broken into categories, and the community votes for those businesses they appreciate most. 

“To win the ‘Best of Lufkin’ comes not just from our members voting for us, but from others too,” said Southland FCU President/CEO Jonathan Matthews. “It’s pretty cool, and as this is my last year working for SFCU, to go out on a high is great.”

Matthews is retiring at the end of this year.
