In Memoriam: Oklahoma Central CU’s Brad Scheidt

Oklahoma Central Credit Union has announced that its EVP, Chief Finance and Strategy Officer Brad A. Scheidt died on Aug. 25.  

“It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of our friend and colleague Brad Scheidt,” said Oklahoma Central CU Chief Executive Officer Gina Wilson. “Brad served the OCCU family since 2009 and was an integral part of the executive team, moving the credit union forward to what it is today. Under his leadership and strategic direction, Brad helped open several OCCU branches, while significantly increasing credit union members and asset-size. Brad made an undeniable mark on who we are today, and we will strive to keep his legacy of excellence, empathy, and humor alive and well. We will miss his unwavering love for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Manchester City Football.”  

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Brad's memory to the Matthew Allen Scheidt Memorial Scholarship Fund with the Oklahoma State University Endowment. OCCU branches lowered their flags to half-staff for 12 days to honor Scheidt’s years of service to the credit union.
