A Message From the Executive Director
As we close out the third quarter, I want to thank you for the steady, tangible ways you’ve supported the Cornerstone Foundation and the credit unions we serve. Because of your generosity and partnership, more people in our communities accessed financial education, relief, and opportunity in 2025.
This issue of Friends of the Foundation leans into everyday financial wellness for the season. You’ll find practical guidance for stretching holiday meal budgets, lowering winter energy costs, making confident open-enrollment choices, putting side-gig income to work, and giving generously without overspending.
I also hope you’ll join us for the Friends of the Foundation Annual Meeting on Oct. 22. It’s a great touchpoint for Foundation friends and anyone who believes in the power of “people helping people.” Register today to secure your spot.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to focus on empowering credit unions to meet local needs through scholarships, grants, and trusted financial wellness partners. In January, we’ll share updates on application timelines and opportunities to get involved—whether through professional development, volunteer service, or sustained support like payroll deduction.
Thank you for the difference you make all year long. Your commitment turns the credit union philosophy into real outcomes for real people, and we’re grateful to do this work alongside you. From all of us at the Cornerstone Foundation, warm wishes for a safe, restful holiday season and a strong start to the new year.
Thank you for being a friend (of the Foundation),
Courtney Moran, I-CUDE, CCUFC
