A Message From the Executive Director
Dear Friends of the Foundation,
Welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter. As we embark on a new year, our commitment to empowering readers with content to help improve their financial well-being remains steadfast. In this issue, we address topics related to financial health in the new year in addition to how to protect yourself from fraud tactics. We hope the information provided can help you navigate the complexities of today's financial landscape and build a financially secure future.
Last year, we hosted our inaugural Annual Meeting on Oct. 25, 2023. During our meeting, we established that future Annual Meetings will be scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year. Furthermore, Melissa Burleson and Sarah Hall were elected as Advisory Trustees to represent the Friends of the Foundation members on the Foundation board. As we continue to progress through the first quarter, I want to remind you to take advantage of all the benefits available to you as a Friend of the Foundation:
- Champion the people helping people philosophy through monetary and system support.
- Receive a quarterly electronic newsletter from the Foundation on resources, programs, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
- Become eligible for membership opportunities with participating credit unions to access financial products and services.
- Access free, one-on-one financial counseling, debt management services, and financial education resources through the Foundation’s partnership with BALANCE, a leading national nonprofit organization. BALANCE also offers free monthly webinars and workshops.
- Opportunity to elect two Advisory Trustees to represent the interest of the membership on the Cornerstone Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
For more information on membership benefits or how to get more involved with the Foundation, reach out to Foundation staff or visit us online today.
Thank you for being a friend (of the Foundation),
Courtney Moran, I-CUDE, CCUFC
