Longtime Cornerstone League employee Cynthia Rogstad passed away this week after battling a long-term illness.
Rogstad began her career at Cornerstone in August 1996. As AVP of internal audit, Rogstad led a team of internal auditors and conducted credit union audits. She often spoke of her beloved pet cow, Daisy, and will be remembered for her passion for the credit union industry.
“Rogstad had such a strong work ethic that was a tremendous benefit to this company, and she attributed that to being raised on a farm and knowing that cows still had to be fed regardless of how you felt,” said Rogstad’s manager Chad Stanislav. “Some people within Audit and Consulting Services and in Cornerstone would approach Rogstad for answers to questions because she was a wealth of knowledge and her ability to research was incredible. Many said they were intimidated by her or that she had a tough exterior, but once they got to know her, she was an absolutely gentle soul full of caring and love.”
“She loved credit unions and clients, but she loved her staff,” Stanislav added, “and each one of them felt it through her mentoring, assisting, or simply just listening."
