Texas Trust CU Donates $10,000 to Toys for Tots

Wed December 08, 2021

Celebrating a decade of giving to Toys for Tots via the Mansfield ISD annual toy drive, Texas Trust Credit Union donated $10,000 to this year’s campaign.

This is the tenth year that the $1.7 billion credit union has partnered with Mansfield ISD and Toys for Tots to give back to families during the holiday season. In addition to the cash donation, Texas Trust collected more than 500 toys to help ensure every child in the DFW area received a gift from Santa. The annual Toys for Tots drive was held at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts on Dec. 1.

The toy drive brought out hundreds of families to donate toys and enjoy an evening of family fun attractions, live performances, and festival-style food.

“This year’s toy drive is even more important than last year,” said Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “Many families are still struggling because of the pandemic, and we are seeing an increase in the cost of goods, adding more financial hardship to some of our neighbors. Through Toys for Tots, families in need in our communities will be blessed by the love and support of our members and employees who gave so generously. We are thankful to be part of such an inspirational and worthy cause as Toys for Tots.”
