Question of the Week: BSA, OFAC Training, and Cornerstone
Question:
Does Cornerstone offer free Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) training?
Answer:
Yes. Compliance with BSA and OFAC remains an important issue concerning examinations and credit union liability. A substandard program may expose your credit union to unwanted scrutiny and extensive penalties.
You and your staff can learn about BSA/OFAC compliance with Monica Villines, Cornerstone’s AVP of risk management and compliance consulting. All the basic information pertaining to BSA and OFAC will be covered.
Two separate trainings are available for staff and volunteers. Upon request, the League will issue a certificate of attendance listing those from your credit union who watch the training session to retain in your files for documentation. Registration is free for Cornerstone League member credit unions as a dues benefit.
For more information and/or to register, go to the BSA & OFAC Training web page.
