Monday, February 12, 2018 6:50 AM

Alex Godina

Alex Godina, senior business and community engagement partner of Texas Trust Credit Union, was named Volunteer of the Year by the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the annual community awards banquet.

Godina is an active and engaged member of the Chamber's board. He was leader of the Diversity Committee and worked closely with other board members to ensure that the needs of the Grand Prairie business community were being addressed.

The community and board members submitted nominations, and the winner was selected by previous award recipients, as well as the board. Godina was chosen based on his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Chamber.

"Alex Godina embodies the ideal Chamber member and volunteer,” said Michelle Madden, president and CEO of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. “He takes his board role seriously, is able to motivate to get buy-in from his committee and see his commitment through. From a volunteer standpoint, he's someone that we know we can rely upon. We're proud that he's on our board, and that he is the incoming Chairman of the Board for 2019."
