Tax Reform Legislation Ready for House and Senate Committee Votes

The House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) unveiled a 429-page tax reform bill.

H.R. 1, the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act," would cut taxes by roughly $1.5 trillion over ten years and would make significant changes to and simplify our nation's tax laws. On Nov. 9, after a four-day markup, the Committee passed the bill and it is expected to be considered by the full House of Representatives the week of November 13, 2017.
