Senate Confirms Hood and Harper to NCUA Board
Friday, March 15, 2019 6:45 AM

The U.S. Senate yesterday confirmed Rodney Hood and Todd Harper as National Credit Union Administration Board Members.

Hood previously served on the board from 2005-2010 and will fill a six-year term that expires in 2023. This seat will replace Board Member Rick Metsger, whose term expired in August 2017 but had indicated he would serve until his replacement was confirmed.

Harper previously served as the director of public and congressional affairs and chief policy advisor to the chairman at the NCUA. He will fill a six-year term that expires in 2021; Harper will fill a board seat previously held by former NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz, who retired in April 2016.

President Donald J. Trump nominated Rodney Hood on Jan. 19, and announced his intent to nominate Todd Harper on Feb. 1. The Senate Banking Committee held its confirmation hearing Feb. 14, and unanimously approved both nominees on Feb. 26.
