Who’s More Loyal to CUs than a 30-year Member?

by Ken Anderson | Mar 15, 2013
Since he was seven years old, Representative Joaquin Castro - a rising star in Texas politics, has been a member of a credit union. That's loyalty, and that still means something these days, especially in the polarizing world of politics. Attendees at the Texas Credit Union League's (TCUL) Texas Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) and Member Meeting & Expo will have an opportunity to hear firsthand from this freshman U.S. Congressman, District 20. Representative Castro will address the credit union audience during Thursday morning's general session.

Since he was seven years old, Representative Joaquin Castro – a rising star in Texas politics, has been a member of a credit union. That's loyalty, and that still means something these days, especially in the polarizing world of politics.  Attendees at the Texas Credit Union League’s (TCUL) Texas Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) and Member Meeting & Expo will have an opportunity to hear firsthand from this freshman U.S. Congressman, District 20.  Representative Castro will address the credit union audience during Thursday morning’s general session.

The Texas GAC and Member Meeting & Expo is being held April 2-5 in Austin.  The Texas Credit Union Foundation (TCUF) is sponsoring Thursday morning’s general session.

After serving five terms in the state legislature, Representative Castro, San Antonio native, was named by Politicos.com as one of the top 50 politicos to watch in the nation.  Representative Castro wants to help build the Infrastructure of Opportunity—great public schools and universities, a sound healthcare system, and good-paying jobs—so that future generations will have the same chance he had to pursue the American Dream.

Credit unions will not want to miss this dynamic and informative address.
