Last month at the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference, CUNA president and CEO Bill Cheney unveiled a new strategic vision: “Unite for Good.” Scott Butterfield tells CU Insight readers in a March 27 post that he believes “Unite for Good” is “spot on.”
“I believe it represents the best opportunity to leverage our collective brand for advocacy, differentiation and growth,” Butterfield tells CU Insight readers. “If we do this right, we have the opportunity to demonstrate in a very big way that the credit union brand is clearly different and better.”
Whether we’re big, small, urban, rural, and state- or federally chartered, credit unions all share the common bond of member service and credit have incredible stories to tell. However, Butterfield tells CU Insight readers that he doesn’t believe the credit union movement has done a great job of getting the word out.
“’“Unite for Good’ gives us a comfortable venue for sharing and leveraging those stories,” he says.
