With the onslaught of new rules and regulations, keeping track and understanding how your credit union is being impacted can be a daunting task. This three-day conference is designed to empower attedees with the tools and information needed to broaden their knowledge, develop their skills and expand their network.
This year’s conference features a pre-conference workshop: CFPB on the March - Dodd-Frank and Consumer Regulatory Changes. Presented by Todd Sherpy, CURES LLC, this four-hour workshop addresses the newest rules from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) on loan originators, appraisals, RESPA and TILA changes including documentation and escrow requirements, and Regulation E rules. It also addresses areas of liability exposure related to CFPB actions and steps you should consider to protect your credit union.
In addition to the pre-conference workshop, other program highlights include the opening and closing general sessions:
The Culture of Ethics featuring Barry Thompson, Thompson Consulting Group, LLC, explores how your code of ethics ultimately becomes a matter of organizational culture. He will also provide attendees with practical training techniques they can use to help ensure that their credit union consistently behaves in accordance with ethical standards.
Change Management: From Fighting the Storm to Dancing in the Rain with Ed Robinson examines core, universal strategies necessary to dance and thrive through all the storms in your life. Robinson will share his thoughts on attributes of professionalism and keys to personal success and self-motivation.
