Texas Shines in Entrepreneurial Activity, According to New Study

When it comes to entrepreneurial activity, at 16 percent, Texas rates higher than the national average, which is 13 percent.

Other Texas findings from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) U.S. Report include:

  • 47 percent of Lone Star entrepreneurs project adding more than five employees vs. 37 percent nationally.
  • The nascent entrepreneurship rate in Texas is 12 percent vs. 9 percent nationally.
  • 53 percent of Texans believe there are good opportunities for entrepreneurship vs. 44 percent nationally.
