Senate Confirms Cordray as CFPB Director

The Senate has reportedly confirmed the president's nomination of Richard Cordray to a five-year term as director of the CFPB. The Wall Street Journal reports that the 66-34 vote came after Cordray's nomination cleared a key hurdle earlier in the day.

President Obama first nominated Cordray to lead the bureau in 2011.
